What People are Saying about The Scholarly Dog...
I worked with Rachel to help my dog with separation anxiety that was leading to destructive behavior. I can not say enough good things. I highly highly recommend her and will definitely be returning for future assistance if we need it. She worked with my schedule and we did virtual training so she could watch Aubrey while I stepped out of the home so we could recreate the most true to life situations. She made sure Aubrey would reach her threshold of anxiety but never go over it. It only took a couple of weeks of meeting 3 times a week for Aubrey’s behavior and stress to do a complete turn around. She’s so much happier and calmer. It’s been about 2 months since working with her and the changes have stuck. She also still checks in to make sure things are going well.
Rachel came to our house and gave us a lot of helpful tips for some unwanted behaviors our puppy has. She was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. I really liked how it was so personal and custom to specifically our dog’s breed and behavior. It was a lot of information but luckily Rachel summarized it all in an email I got the next day! We liked her so much, we’re going to enroll our pup in her 6 week manners class!
How Do We Get Started?
We start every client with a 60 minute in person consultation. This gives me a chance to observe your dog, their environment, and their relationship with you. It also gives you an opportunity to get to know me and make sure we are a great fit for you and your dog. I will give you some tips and training exercises to get started on the right paw until our second meeting. The initial consult is $120.
If at the time of our initial consult you choose to move forward with private training sessions, my pricing is as follows:
- 3 Sessions $350 Suited for basic issues such as jumping on guests or leash walking.
- 6 Sessions $620 Best for more complex cases such as fear & anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity, or aggression.
All sessions are to be paid in advance before training begins. Please visit my FAQ page to see my answers to commonly asked questions.
